Invitations

Invitation links are how members can join groups. On the Members tab, open Invitations to create and manage them.

Any member can create an invitation link, unless the group's administrator has checked "Any member can create invitation links" off in the Admin tab.

Creating a link

A label is optional but worth adding if you're going to hand the link out in more than one place. "Poster at the gym" and "Team WhatsApp" tell two links apart later, when you're deciding which one to revoke.

A link can also be marked single-use, so it stops working the moment one person joins with it. That's useful for a one-off invite rather than a link you expect to hand around.

Every invitation link tracks who created it and who joined using it, so you can see who invited who.

Using an invitation link

Following an invitation link takes you to register or log in, then into the group. If you're already signed in and already a member, it takes you to the group without adding you a second time.
